About Us

From humble beginnings, QCM was built on the backbone of the Northern Territory’s infrastructure landscape - starting with one carpenter, a few tools, and the determination to make a lasting mark by building a better future, one nail at a time.

Established in 2000, under the leadership of founders David and Kylie Colman, QCM has grown into a proudly Indigenous and female-owned registered building contractor with offices in Darwin, Katherine, and Alice Springs. Over the past 25+ years, QCM has earned a reputation for impressing clients, forging strong connections with NT communities, and delivering infrastructure that provides homes, security, and opportunities across industries.

Today, our skilled team of 17 - including 3 Project Managers, 9 Carpenters, 2 Administration Support, 2 Apprentices, and 1 MC Truck Driver - work together to ensure every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

From new builds and government contracts to insurance works and renovations, QCM continues to deliver cost-effective solutions that strengthen the Territory. We are proud of the legacy we’ve built and look forward to many more generations of QCM shaping the NT’s future.
